I've seen so many guides for this shirt lately and I've been dying to make one of my own! I've just been waiting for the perfect shirt to come along and I finally found it - my brand new Noom shirt! Absolutely no excuse to skip gym now! ;)

This shirt really doesn't need to look perfect, and isn't that kinda what DIY is all about? All you need for this is a T-shirt of your choosing (maybe less wrinkled than mine, don't ask haha!) and a pair of scissors. No needles, thread or a sewing machine needed. :)

You start off by cutting off the sleeves, bottom of the shirt and the collar if desired. I actually left it intact to begin with as the neckline was quite deep already, but I did get rid of it in the end as the strap kinda pulls it in a little bit. Turn the shirt around and cut a V shaped piece out from the back of the shirt. Don't worry if it doesn't look smooth or even, as the strap will cover it anyways.

Take the piece you cut off from the bottom of the shirt and turn it into a single piece of fabric. Then loop it through the straps at the top, tie a knot and start wrapping one end of the strip around the back piece of your shirt. Leave roughly an inch of fabric loose at the bottom and repeat the same process with the other end. Then all you need to do is tie another knot and your shirt is done!

The shirt was actually just slightly too big for me before all this, but now that I've pulled it in a little bit with this trick it fits perfectly. :)

I've been looking to get a new leather jacket for a while now. The one I've been using is just simply starting to be far too big, I can actually grab both sides with my hands without touching any skin! Well fitting clothes are so important to me now that I've actually got a nice figure, it really got to the point where I didn't even want to pull the zip up on my jacket because it would just hide everything I've been working so hard for!

Leather really seems to be THE thing at the moment with jackets. New Look had quite a few nice options, but I ended up going for this gorgeous brown suedette jacket. It's just absolutely perfect, I couldn't be happier! The fabric feels so silky smooth and the material is so thin, that I can wear it in the summer as well without feeling like I'm going to die of a heat stroke.

The top I'm wearing underneath is new as well! I was looking for something with long sleeves, and this really cute navy themed top caught my eye. I'm not a massively girly person, so I tend to keep all this cute stuff to the minimum. It's nice in small details, but I'd never wear something so... cute if the shirt was covered in the flower detail. Now all I'd really need is a pair of skinny jeans and I'd have quite a nice look going.

And I did actually try some skinnies on today as well. Baaaad mistake!! :D I really just need to give up on skinny jeans, my legs just aren't designed for them. My calves are just far too big for something like that, I really struggled to get the jeans off! I had to pull them down inch by inch by my calves, not exactly something I'd look forward to doing on a daily basis.. They fit really well everywhere else, but I think I'm just going to stick to the bootcuts. Hah.

I had a bit of spare time during lunch today, so I figured that I'll give my Body By Vi shake a bit of a twist today. We bought some strawberries last night, and they're really not in season so eating them straight from the pack isn't really the best idea. I mean, they're nice, but nowhere near as juicy as they are in the summer.

All you need for this is two scoops of the Vi Shape nutritional shake mix, 250ml of milk of choice and strawberries. I used five big ones, and they really gave the shake such a delicious flavour! Just mix it all up in a food processor or blender and you're all done! It's a brilliant way of getting your fruit and calcium every day, and I have a feeling that I'm going to start making all sorts of different shakes for breakfast from now on.

I left my shake quite chunky, but if you prefer a fully smooth shake, just keep blitzing the mix until there's no lumps. Strawberries do have small seeds, so if that's something you don't like, just drain it all throuh a sieve before serving.

Now for a bit of downtime before heading to work for the afternoon. Have a great weekend all! ♥

Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day! Here's a little peek to our evening. :) The food was really delicious, and my guess about the Prosecco was right - I only had a glass of it and that was with some black currant liqueour mixed into it, just not quite to my taste!

As we didn't do anything for Valentine's Day, my other half decided to treat me to a day in Portsmouth today. The weather was really on our side today - it was so needed after all the storms we've been having lately! I've been dying to use this dress again, I can't even remember the last time I've worn it! Starting to feel confident enough to wear dresses and skirts when I go out, making me a very happy girl. :)

I've actually never been to the Portsmouth pier before! I've been to the city several times, but somehow I've always missed the pier! The views were absolutely stunning, with the sea defence towers coming out from the sea and Isle of Wight just in front of us. So many people were jogging or cycling along the seafront, made me feel like I'm missing out!

We went to the Blue Reef aquarium, and I absolutely loved it! I really like fish, especially all the tropical and colourful ones! I'd really love to go diving somewhere to actually see all the different fish in their own enviroment, instead of looking at them through a thick piece of glass.

On top of just looking at pretty colours all day, I always learn something really cool about our planet, when I go to an aquarium or a zoo. I love educating myself about our nature, and even though I don't have the brain capacity to understand the maths of physics or chemistry, I still really enjoy getting into it all (as long as it's explained in common terms, hah!).

Anyways! I really should've taken my camera with me today, I would've had a lot more good quality pictures than this. I am quite proud of my phone though, the quality isn't as bad as I thought!

Rays are so freaky.

The most miserable fish I have ever seen!

Ever since getting home, we've been busy moving all our stuff to our new flat. I'm so happy to finally be here, we can start settling in and building our own little nest. :)

I keep setting myself small targets with clothes to keep things interesting. I still have a pair of trousers I bought a while back that are still waiting to fit perfectly, but I've got this outfit I've always loved but got too big for it at some point.

I've been able to wear the shirt for a good few months now, but the jeans have been hidden away for probably two or three years now. They're just perfect in every single way - the length, cut and general fit just go so well with my figure, and you have no idea how upset I was when I realised that I had gotten too fat for them. I was going through a bag of my old clothes not too long ago, and found these jeans in there. I'm so glad I went through the bag, as it was one of the many that I donated to charity. I've gone from not fitting into them to them falling off me if I don't wear a belt! Very proud of myself.

You know, it's actually really difficult to wear buttoned shirts when you've got bigger boobs than a B cup. The buttons are always in the wrong place, creating a little peek hole in exactly the wrong place. I actually wore a top under this one for a very long time as buttoning it up all the way was absolutely impossible, and today I was so happy to notice that even the peek hole is starting to be quite non-existent! Tracking progress this way is so much fun and more rewarding than seeing the numbers go down on the scale!

I didn't actually have any plans for gymming it up today, but I actually got really bored at home and decided to go and burn some time (and fat!) at Dream Fitness. I didn't really have anything specific in mind, so spent 20 minutes on the treadmill (jogging and some hill climbing while walking), did a bit of core work and finished it all off with 15 minutes on the elliptical. I was going to do 20 minutes on it as well, but realised that doing that extra five minutes would've made me miss my bus haha! From previous experience I'd rather not sit at the bus stop for 15 minutes after being to the gym - it's bloody cold!!

A quick snap for Instagram. Isn't my phone case cute?!

I got a text from Dream Fitness the other day, saying that my access card has arrived. They had such a busy January that they run out of them, so I had to wait for my baby for a while! I mean I had access to the gym without it as the door has been open because of the shortage, but just having it makes me feel all giddy! The plan is to get started next Wednesday, my hip is starting to feel like its usual self now (about time!). Just need to start slow and listen to my body, I've had enough injuries to know better than to go all out instantly.

And I have a feeling I'll get my fair share of exercise over the weekend, walking around Ikea for hoooours on Sunday and then moving all our stuff into our flat, I have a feeling I'm going to have sore arms on Monday!

I also went for a little shopping trip when I was in town getting my card. I went through all my shoes and bags last night, and ended up throwing away quite a few pairs of shoes. I can be quite cheap when it comes to buying shoes, so I actually ended up with two pairs of shoes with holes in them! In this weather they're absolutely horrible, as the cold gets in and it's never completely dry where I walk so the amount of times I've had a wet sock is ridiculous. :D

And I also bought a load of black tights for myself, as I always seem to tear them one way or another. I've had this leather skirt for ages now, but the lack of black tights has made it impossible to wear them (it's so short that I really don't feel like stepping out of the house without tights). But that issue has finally been fixed, I get to wear my cute twirly skirt now!

I will probably be a bit less active blog wise over the weekend and over the next few weeks, we have to wait til 13th Feb to get our internet running at the flat. Hopefully I'll get a chance to post some updates from uni or the in-laws, though. :)

I ordered a few bits and pieces from Sports Direct last week and my parcel finally arrived!

I've been looking for proper running shoes for ages now and I finally found the perfect pair! I seem to be so attracted to bright colours when it comes to exercise clothes and these shoes definitely weren't an exception.

These shoes are the Adidas Kanadia 5 Ladies Trail running shoes. I was looking for "off road" shoes for a reason, as I know these shoes will travel with me to Finland (dirt roads) on a regular basis. My other pair of trainers are very slippery when the tarmac is a bit wet so that's also why I wanted shoes that will really dig into the surface - and they really didn't disappoint me! I took them for a little test run earlier today and they really are a sturdy pair of shoes so to speak. I was out for far too long though, it's never a good idea to go for a 1hr walk/run when you're wearing a brand new pair of shoes..

I was only going to buy the trainers, but then I realised that my exercise trousers won't match with the shoes! First world problems eh? But then again, I'd rather spend my money on exercise clothes than everyday clothes, I just feel far more comfortable when I don't have to wear jeans.

The trousers I bought are the same type of USA Pro trousers I've bought before, although the material seems to be a bit thinner than in the other ones. They've both got a really nice blue waistband and reflectors by the calves, and obviously they look really nice.

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I was also lacking some sort of a thin exercise jacket I could wear when it's not too cold. I found this really nice USA Pro jacket with adorable thumb holes, I think that was the main reason I bought it! :D It was warm enough in the current weather (+10, slightly windy) and I really liked the fact that it's got pockets in it. It seems like such an obvious thing to have but none of my exercise trousers actually have pockets big enough for my keys and phone!

This'll keep me going for a while! :)

It's amazing how everything else gets pushed aside when there's a big deadline coming up. I haven't had the energy for exercise or blogging at all with all my uni stuff lately. Final deadline is on Monday (or Tuesday, that's when we do our evaluations) and I've still got loads to do so this'll be a sweet n short post to let you all know that I'm still alive! :D

It's really coming down to the fine details now. I've been tracing fonts on a separate bit of paper to "create" my own font to use in the final magazine, created tons of mockups of it and now I'm at the stage where I just need to put it all together and print it off. After Monday I can finally breathe and relax again, get back to exercising properly and actually recharge my batteries for the next term.

Right now all I'm hoping is that the project is a pass (our grading system is pass - merit - distinction) as I am just really drained and quite done with this project. For our first project it's just been so much to manage - we've been asked to be an editor, a designer, a photographer, a researcher and a journalist for this project, which just is a bit much in my opinion. Then again this is the very first year of the course I'm on so we are the guinea pigs.

I really stepped out of my comfort zone clothes wise today. I don't think I've ever worn something this short and it really made me feel self conscious all day. I just kept tugging my top down and making sure my shirt wasn't wonky! :D Then again I did quite like it, it's just me not being used to clothing like this at all. I've just never had the body to wear anything like this.

Oh and I do like it how the angle in the picture is making me look waaaay taller than I really am.

I've been meaning to mention this for a while now - new handbag yay! I'm not really bothered with accessorising usually and I use the same bag for everything, so actually buying a new bag just for the fun of it is something very weird of me. My friend introduced me to this second hand vintage shop called Rokit a few weeks ago and I just found this absolute gem in the bag section. Rokit is exactly like any second hand shop really, once you've bought an item it gets removed from the website and nobody else will have the same item (or well, obviously if anyone has kept their old clothes etc they will).

And this is what I found - a very adorable pirate themed bag from Betsey Johnson. I only paid £30 for it, which is an absolute bargain compared to the prices of her new bags!

Oh and last weeks weigh in - huuuge gain because of the night before.. :p Christmas do at a Chinese restaurant, you can just imagine the amount of salt in the food + alcohol. Hah.
