A new look for the blog again! What do you guys think? :) I really liked the old one, but it was really broken code wise and I couldn't get things to work. This one should also be a bit more user friendly if you're browsing on a tablet / small screen.

I'm really starting to be bad at finding the motivation to go to uni! I mean, I do work at home but showing my face at uni every now and then wouldn't hurt. We've only really got a few weeks left of this year, so I really feel like I can achieve the same things at home I would by going into the studio.


To pump up my energy towards uni work, I wanted to take advantage of the incredible weather and go for a quick walk earlier. I was trying to decide whether or not I should take a hoodie with me, and I'm really glad I did in the end. Despite it being really sunny, the wind at the seafront was awful! Even the seagulls were side stepping to avoid falling over!



My weekend is going to be incredibly busy with work. The resort is having an adult only weekend, meaning late night venues, lots of hen/stag parties and so on. And in turn it means that us photographers need to be present with cameras, capturing all those memories for people. :) Should be a fun weekend! Also going out with the team tomorrow night after work.


Oh and our trip to Holland is fast approaching! Heading over to the land of Dutchies next Friday. :) I'm so excited about this trip, I haven't seen this bunch of people for such a long time (since last October in fact!), it'll be great to get together again and have a fantastic weekend together. These friends really make me feel like I belong to a group of some kind, so I'm determined to make the most of our weekend away.

I've really never been a breakfast person. The only thing I'd have in the mornings is a cup of coffee and then I'd be quite happy to go on until lunch. Everyone keeps telling me how I should eat breakfast and gasp in horror when I say I don't, but it's surprisingly hard to break out of it.

And that's why I really liked going on the Body By Vi challenge a few months ago. I wouldn't have to eat something, I could just drink a small amount of milkshake and that's it. But you know what? The taste of that shake is really starting to bug me. I haven't actually had one of those shakes for weeks now, I've just got my milk sitting in the fridge, probably going off as we speak. I really have respect towards all the people who stick to the shakes for longer than three months, I just can't keep drinking the same stuff for such a long time without getting fed up (even tried adding other ingredients in to make it taste different but could still really taste the shake's own flavour)!



But hope's not lost! I've actually morphed into a breakfast person since then! I even feel a little bit guilty for not having anything in the morning. And now that my mum even sent me a small loaf of rye bread when my brother shipped me our old PlayStation (nerd alert), I've got no excuse not to have breakfast! I've actually made some very bizarre combinations of toppings, but hey - as long as I enjoy it and it makes me eat in the morning, who cares right?



And even if I don't have time to actually make something decent, I at least have a pot of yoghurt with some fresh fruit in it. Alpro makes these amazing chocolate and vanilla pots, and I've been pimping them up with some raspberries this week. Also had a go at their natural soya yoghurt, but that didn't really taste that great so that's probably not going to be on my shopping list from now on.

The good thing about my work is that they've got a small supermarket on resort and they actually make breakfast baps every day. If I don't feel like eating at home, I just have my coffee and walk to work. This usually wakes my metabolism up and I actually feel hungry by the time I get there. While the usual sausage bap I go for might not be the healthiest option out there, it gives me enough energy to last until lunch. I really don't get to sit down at work, so being on my feet burns loads of calories - and that makes me feel slightly less guilty about my occasional breakfast choice. ;)

Like I said in a post a while ago, I've teamed up with Chemist Direct to review some of their fantastic products. I picked a variety of things that were relevant to me, and out of these Chemist Direct sent me this wonderful bottle of DermaOil skincare oil (also worth checking out their other products)!


This is quite simply a first impression type of post about the oil, as I only started using it this morning. The recommended "dose" is twice a day on any desired areas (three times a day if you're pregnant). I've actually got a lot of stretch marks all over my body - inner thighs, both biceps, next to my left armpit (such a bizarre place!), on both sides / love handles and quite an odd one next to my belly button. To document how the oil works I'm going to track the effects of it on my left side. It's actually quite hard to take pictures of your stretch marks, they reflect light in such an odd way.


OK, so! The oil smells really nice and fresh, it's sort of a citrus type scent. A single drop of the oil goes really far, and I made the mistake of just squeezing the bottle quite hard at first! :D The oil does stay on your skin for a while, so I don't recommend sitting on anything too expensive until it's completely absorbed (and probably best to wear some clothes you don't mind getting oily)!

I'll keep checking back on this product every now and then, most likely when there's half a bottle left and when I eventually finish the oil. I'm quite optimistic about this product, the reviews on Chemist Direct's website have been quite positive so far!

I'm also testing It Works! Ultimate Body Applicator (this isn't through my partnership with Chemist Direct). I will give it a full review once I've used all four body wraps to get a good idea of the product and results. :)
